Re: 10NL, Weak 2-pair.

Is flop standard? [/ QUOTE ] I actually posted on a similar hand (TPNK, way OOP, 4-5 in the pot) before. The general consensus was a PSB was standard, but who knows if that was correct. |

Re: 10NL, Weak 2-pair.
[ QUOTE ]
At this level a PSB won't chase people from draws; and after one caller almost everybody will come along. So we have a TPNK here and are building a big pot OOP; if we stop on turn then LAGs with draws can bluff us off our winning hand. That's my concern. I will usually hope to get flop checked and then lead a safe turn instead. That way the also don't give me credit for top pair - but may have drawn out on me by that time instead. [/ QUOTE ] once you lead for a PSB on this board into this many players i dont think people will try to steal it from you w/ a worse hand on the turn too often. and if you have a read that someone is aggro enough to do that you can evaluate the turn and go from there |

Re: 10NL, Weak 2-pair.
The obvious flush draw didn't come it, so I'd be inclined to think I have the best hand and make a river value bet of around half pot. There's 3 to a straight, but who's calling the flop with a backdoor straight draw (unless it's a combo)?
I might not like my 2 pair hand so much if I get check-raised, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I suspect a lone K will call often enough to make it profitable. |
