Re: Theoretically, I busted Him
[ QUOTE ]
I'm wondering, how much comfort is it to know that even though you technically outplayed your opponent, he stuck around with 22, or J6s or (fill in the blank) and the River brought the precise card to hand Hee Haw Boy the pot. Do you really feel good and confident that even though he’s raking in the pot, he made a “mistake” or, come on, you say “nh” and your note on the Villain starts with “Total Jackoff….etc. [/ QUOTE ] I laugh and it makes me feel good. I'm emotionally detached from my poker money and I don't have ego problems, so I don't care that I lost the pot. I know that he got lucky and that's how the game works. |

Re: Theoretically, I busted Him
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] everyone knows about sklansky bucks here. well the key to poker is having -$ in sklansky bucks, meaning your opponents earn sklansky bucks off of you. if you're earning sklansky bucks, you're losing real money, and you can't redeem those sklansky bucks. [/ QUOTE ] Hmm maybe I don't?? I thought Sklansky bucks was for playing correctly but getting sucked out on? So if that is true, -$ in Sklansky bucks would be playing bad and sucking out on the villian? That might be a bit good for my BR at that time, but bad for it overall because I am typically playing bad????? I must of missed something here. [/ QUOTE ] i'm saying the key to poker is to run well. you start by playing well. then you don't ever earn sklansky bucks, because you master not being sucked out on. then sometimes you're still playing well, but you put some bets in when you shouldn't have (clearly this happens to all of us). you now master the art of the suckout. you lose some sklansky bucks, but you win real money. |

Re-Raising and calling the 3bet on the on the turn with a board like this is spewing. AA gets cracked all the time. |

Theoretically, you overplayed the turn. Did BB go all in?

Ya think?
The 5 didn't look like it helped and I knew heart and soul no one had a Q. |

Re: Theoretically, I busted Him
I do think. If it were HU against the BB then I wouldn't mind a raise here. But the button 3bet pf and flop, and he could easily have a Q, especially with the number of players who 3bet w/AQ as a rule. Are you able to fold if the turn goes bet, raise 3bet, cap...2 to you? Even if BB is horribly overplaying a K here, the presense of the pf and flop 3bettor behind me would make me slow way down on the turn.
