That online scanner helps fix that problem, since it isnt on your computer it cant be corrupted.

sorry to hear about this.

i doubt a scanner will do any good (even something as reliable as trend micro) if the person on the other side sent you a keylogger not yet recognized..it could take a really long time for the anti-spyware/virus to update this if it's not on 'the list'

a keylogger has to be attached to a file from the other side and opened by you, yourself..so simply visiting a website wont cut it. even something like a picture, or a program the other side knows you will open will always have an .exe at the end that yuo NEED TO OPEN or save/open in order for the keylogger to load to your computer. so if you dont recall doing something like this recently..maybe someone you share the computer with opened one? i'd look into this a little more if i were you..try to recall if this ever happened through AIM, or check some old emails from the past.

just hearing things like this pisses me off and makes me more and more paranoid. this really sucks..but definitely reformat and change all pw's ASAP. better safe than sorry
