I'm always involved. I just don't post at every little thing, because a good portion of the threads that arise are worthless(once again, doesn't mean this one). I just have a hard time taking any efforts seriously, when this has just been a cycle.

I'm not talking about you specifically. I have checked legislation daily since Sept. Since about late October, the only thread I see updating is the Network Tracking thread. This forum has been a barren wasteland until now, and it's [censored] annoying. Not saying that's your fault either. It's just the same song and dance everytime.

If you are going to be bitter, direct your hostility towards the recent legislation and use that energy to help fight. If the only reason some of us are showing up here now is because of recent events, then shame on us, but show us what to do. Take advantage of our new desire to help, or you are just hurting the cause that you apparently care about enought to be checking on this forum daily.

If you aren't going to help, STFU.

Will the casinos ally, or hinder.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just as the poker sites with sister casino sites or sportsbook have a wider agenda than ours (and more damaging to our cause), the B&M casinos do as well. They never really liked poker until the last few years, and if it decreases in poplularity, you will see slot machines quickly replacing a lot poker tables. They are a necessary ally via the AGA, but we don't really want to be dependant on them. It is worth noting as well that we want fish money in poker and not drained via slots.

We need to promote Cali style poker rooms primarily in the states via our argument that poker is a skill game and involves citizens wagering with each other, and not with a -EV house game of some casino.

All,

Let's not hijack this thread with replies/attacks to Chex.

Chex,

If you have in fact been following this forum the last couple months, you know we have been discussing the PPA and waiting in vain for their reply. That is why only now we are getting to this point.

(please don't reply to this but to my OP if you have something to contribute)

I support you and everyone else 100% in this matter. That is my contribution for now. Set up an ACTBlue page, I'll donate. I'm better at that form of help.

Chex - Thanks, that is something that came out of the discussion last night, one of the ways we will solicit donations, is through a website like the Actblue one, that is one of the things getting hammered out.

Thanks for the support

Can someone summarize a general consensus on the ACTblue website?

The obvious thing from the outside would be to just use it (as long as there was some sort of indep oversight) since it is already set up.
