I don't know if this whole thing has any redeeming value, but I'd like to find out if it does. [/ QUOTE ] I ask the same about midget/animal porn every day. |

I care, but I do not believe that dreams mean anything. I think that dreams are just the brain cells doing whatever it is that brain cells do when the body's resting. I even think that our emotions (even love)are little more than physiological/chemical/electrical reactions to various stimuli.

I tried to do this once, and I ended up just dreaming that I wrote down my dreams instead of actually doing it. I would remember writing them down, but when I looked at my notepad later it was empty.

I actually tried doing this once when I was songwriting. I did it for a week or two, and then got too busy to keep writing, so I stopped. That's at least one use for it tho - trippy writing ideas.

Basically, the way to remember your dreams is to set off your alarm for 15-20 minutes before you usually wake up. [/ QUOTE ] But then wouldn't you have to keep moving up the time you set your alarm? |

I don't see why you'd think this would be weird. As a wannabe writer, having a notepad and pen next to my bed has become the source for some of my favorite creative ideas.
Dreams are often overlooked by most people because they are so involuntary, but they are just as important as our conscious thought. |

I even think that our emotions (even love)are little more than physiological/chemical/electrical reactions to various stimuli. [/ QUOTE ] So life is meaningless, then? Touch is little more than organic stimuli communicating with your central processing unit and informing it to react a certain way, so really touching things is meaningless... Conscious thought is just braincells doing what braincells do when the body is awake, that doesn't mean we can't pull something from that. Dreams are another way we observe and interact with the 'outside' world. |
