although it def does look like a block there is no point in even minraising as snap will def fold anything worse than ak

I think there is value to raising river to move him of AK. How often do you think he shows up here with 2pr/set? Would he take this obvious pot control line to level you?

I like a small raise to maybe 1200 or something. I just don't buy him playing a better hand this way.

I really don't mean this negatively at all, but I am not suprised at ALL that you would advocate a raise here...

ez just call as played
but if u r gonna raise to get value outta of a weaker ace u need to make it look like a bluff. so raise huge to like 2500. raising small makes your hand obv u want a call. when u raise the river his hand turns into a bluff catcher and he knows that. he knows with his medium/good ace that you are not raising for value anything he beats, so make it look like a bluff to induce a hero call

A) With my image I'm typically getting paid off there, too.

B) With significantly above-average strength hands, I tend to concern myself more with getting full value out of them than worrying about being beat. It's sorta like simple arithmetic: If you will be ahead in that spot the majority of the time, it should make sense to try to get more money in the pot in that particular spot. If he comes back over the tap you can lay it down since pot odds in that spot won't mean dick since you would obviously be beat 100% of the time once he comes back over the top, but you'll usually be good, so raise.
