I thought more along the lines of folding out QQ/ TT/ and garbage J hands.

I like B/F as a "value-defense move" expecting to get called by a better hand sometimes, but also Ace high often enough. Seems less -ev than check/anything. Not sure if I like C/F or C/R 2nd. I think C/C sucks here because a bluff from his side is so rarely successful on this board (does anybody ever fold AQ in your spot? I don't think so).

Yes, b/f is far better than c/c if you actually do fold after betting. If you're like me and your b/f turns into a b/c more often than not, it's better to just c/c.

I'm not so sure about this at all. We're up against a TAG, not some variety of predictable and easily manipulated fish.

Why not c/r and fold to a 3bet? Talk about a fancy play. Would do wonders for your table image if you got called.

Yeah, i agree with this. I don't know why I froze up on the J and checked. Then I took a while to decide b/t a c/r and a c/f, and realized that a c/r was no longer going to be plausible after like 10 seconds, so I choose the worst possible option, c/c.

He had AJ with no diamonds, and MHWNG.

I think he has ace most of the time and he is calling down. Just valuebet river. If you get raised then it gets more complicated. Depending on specific reads, bet/call or bet/fold.

why is cc so horrible here compared to bf? 1bb goes in either way and youre not gonna make him fold anything better. would you say A high has a higher chance of calling here than bluff-betting?
