Re: I play weird at 1/2
This seems to me like an easy peasy fold pf, but nobody has really come out and said it yet. Doesn't the 3-bet basically put us up against hands that we're dominated against, especially against a loosish player?

Re: I play weird at 1/2
I think the value of folding out AK and AJ and possibly some pairs < Q make cbetting the flop best. I'd be more inclined to check AK.

Re: I play weird at 1/2
Why would you 3 bet preflop and not c-bet the flop 100% here? Why did you check the flop? To set up and elobrate bluff catcher with a mediocore hand? I dont get this line.

Re: I play weird at 1/2
IME a lot of villians bet hard next streets when their minibet is called cause they think "if villian had a good hand he would raise with". I call and see air or a bad hand a lot of times, so i think this is profitable.
And i dont mind a call on turn. |

Re: I play weird at 1/2
I wouldn't be 3-betting this preflop until I had a decent read on my opponent.
If I just felt like 3-betting an unknown then I would Cbet the flop nearly 100% of the time. Checking the flop doesn't make sense when you have little read on your opponent. You might believe you played this well, but what if the turn blanks and he leads 1/2 or 2/3 pot? Then what? Where do you stand? You can't really make a profitable decision against an unknown because it's all guesswork. If you were hoping to get an instant fold from villian 3-bet and you are shutting down postflop when called preflop then ATo is the wrong hand to make this play. Why? Because his calling range has you severely dominated. You are better off making this 3-bet with a hand like 98s because your hand will still be live if he calls. ATo has little postflop value when 3-betting in this situation. Almost all of its value is from the fold equity it creates both preflop and on the flop when you Cbet. |

Re: I play weird at 1/2
1) I would not have reraised with A 10 off, regardless of position. But since you did,
2) I DEFINITELY would have bet the flop. By not betting the flop you had absolutely no info on where this guy stood. 3) the ridiculously small bet on the turn could have been a post oak bluff, or it could have been a horribly sized bet that was begging for you to come over the top. But again, that distinction is fuzzier than it could have been because you didn't bet on the flop. 4) but then, after all of that, if he comes out on the river, I wouldn't think my 10 was good, and would fold. |

Re: I play weird at 1/2
pf is good, depending on level of loose he is.
Bet flop unless: 1. you know he isnt type to come out betting on turn because you checked. 2. he'll call all flops no matter what because of pf action or becuase its you. On turn, I'll raise his bet, not planning to put another cent in. As played on turn, i'll call river. |

Re: I play weird at 1/2
Your beating 77,88, AK, AJ, I don't really understand the call on the river.
Bet the flop, or raise the turn, atleast you can find out where you are at. |
