The Bears. The only team that comes remotely close is the Cowboys. Two or three weeks ago, I would say the Giants were second to the Bears. But they are a mess.

The NFC is a mishmash of [censored] teams. Half the league is in the wild card race. Anything goes in the NFC.

Bears, then Cowboys. Nobody else is really close and the Saints aren't necessarily 3rd.

Do the Saints have the best QB in the conference?

Yes

Agreed, and from what I've seen of Brees, I don't even think it's all that close (sans Romo's 5 games). The offense moves the ball at will. However, their defense is terrible, and they turn the ball over a lot.

Don't the Cowboys play NO before the season ends?

The defense isn't *terrible*. Well, okay, it's terrible, but it at least has a bright spot: the defensive line is ferocious. Teams can't run up the middle and they generate good pressure.

The Saints have a good DL, and a good passing game. They're a little less than a half a team.

On a Saints related note, Brees is on pace for 5037 passing yards this year, just 47 yards short of Marino's single season record. If he can put up decent numbers against Dallas and Carolina, he very well could get there with the Giants, Niners, and Redskins pass defenses left on the schedule. Just something to keep an eye on over the next five weeks.

I noticed the Saints didn't really try to force a bunch of crap to Reggie Bush on Sunday. Earlier in the year they did. Now their offense is rolling. Coincidence?

??? The offense has more or less been "rolling" the whole year and Bush is getting plenty of receptions over Brees's huge 6 weeks. He's just stopped being a primary receiver and now he's more of a safety valve since Brees has settled in.
