I would laugh, but given that this is the MPAA, i wouldn't put it past them. If you forget the RIAA does the same stuff and they like to sue dead people and 5 year olds

My roommate got sued by the pussy MPAA last year, settled it for 500. From what I've read, these are pretty much impossible to fight, they have a ridiculous system set up so that you can only settle or lose. I don't have time to find the website right now, but there is a bunch of info about this kind of stuff out there, just google it.

Nah, you're fine. My brother got an email from whichever production company owns the rights to "Half Baked" after he downloaded it, and they just told him to delete the movie or they would pursue another course of action.
