[ QUOTE ]
Currently I'm making 30euro an hour. Each pot is raked, and the game is very fast so we prob get more than 30 an hour in. It's no max buy-in, pot limit.

How much of a sample size do you need for a realistic view of your winrate?

define realistic.

to know it to the nearest BB, in a loose passive (low variance) game, probably 100,000 hands. at 20 hands an hour, we're talking 5000 hours. so if you play 1 ten hour session a week, it would take you two years.

FSUplayer (a respected high stakes nl mod, one of the top nl players ever) has posted (online) graphs of two seperate consecutive 100,000 hand samples - in the first, his winrate was like 2.3pt/100, in the other it was like 8ptbb/100.
