Conditional probability. If one opponent is on a heart draw, the other opponent will have a heart in their pair holdings about half the time.
With deeper stacks, you don't necessarily have to worry about giving a cheap card. The stacks are deep enough you can't ever drive out a player with implied odds, and someone who'll call a raise to 2k will also do the same with 3k, with their holdings. It's just an alternative, smallball line, though. Good players should be raising to at least 3k here to kill future action and make them tell you they've flopped strong or are drawing.

[img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] Although I don't know where your getting at with conditional probability. If one person is on a heart draw I would be more inclined to believe the other to not have a heart more often, rather than having one. Anyways, yeah, its just an alternative line from the standard 2-2.5k raise, not saying its right or not. I'll post the turn in a bit.
