[ QUOTE ]
Hand 2, I cold-capped preflop & raised and capped on the flop. His stats were 25/16/1.6 - He wouldn't play AA this strong let alone QQ unless he was planning on bet/folding the turn [/ QUOTE ] Well that isn't really a classic TAG, but I still wouldn't fold. I don't see any action in the second hand that inconsistent with AJ/QQ. That’s an excellent flop for either. After all that action pf, he check knowing it will get bet. He probably didn’t like the cap, but then on the turn, a free card would be a complete disaster for QQ/AJ so he bets. After you both call he figures he has the best hand and bets the river. I agree with MG though that it would be better if you just called the flop 3-bet. That way any wild action will be in front of you. |

Man, that's how you get an insanely high AF. Hand #1 you could have some counterfit outs when you're behind; hand #2 I'd just call down the flop check/3bet. [/ QUOTE ] I agree here. What if the flop in hand 2 is J96 v JT6, do you cap it there? I mean the only reason i like calling down from the chk/3b is because of JT...am I retarded? |

Hand 1.
No way I am folding this against a 50/22 palyer. They think, I got top pair I gotta be agressive with it and then they have no clue when to stop raising, betting. If you gonna fold to that bet you gonna have to slow down earlier and call down instead. No way I trust they got me beat 85% of the time when I have TP2K. Hand 2: Don't cap flop for a starter. You are either way behind to a set or against a monster draw. Call down from there. If you feel you have enough equity pop the turn instead to punish draws. |

SH limit holdem is more about tough calls rather than tough folds.
The river fold at hand 2 especially makes you look like a fish. And I 100% agree with Erik's play on hand 2. |

In hand 1, if you are indeed behind, you may have a whole lotta outs - so getting like 9-1 to see the river, I would call.
Hand 2 - I can't imagine getting to the river in this hand and then folding. The point in getting to the river is to see a showdown. Also, I would not be capping the flop in this hand. I would just call the 3bet and then call down. |

I really dislike hand one. I'm getting nearly 5-1 on a call down and that's enough since I may improve. [/ QUOTE ] But when you don't improve it's a fold. I call the turn hoping to spike a Q or have the board pair and hope it counterfits his 2 pair. 3 betting the flop and then getting cr on the turn screams you are beat, he is aggresive yes but this is A VERY STRONG MOVE. When you don't improve on the river I fold it. Also you only have 30 hands on this villain, not enough to determine if he really is a lag. |

Hand 1: I'd call the turn as I think 2 pair is a big enough part of his range to call.
Hand 2: The fold is fine. |

For hand two and the likely hands that beat or lose to you I get:
LOSE TT 6 JJ 6 AA 6 _____ 18 combinations that you lose to WIN QQ 6 AJ 16 _____ 22 My intuition had been to fold, but that's a clear call on the river. |

Here's a tip:
Don't work on tough folds against LAGS. |

On hand 2 you have to win 5.9% or so to break even and I'm not sure how you could be that sure you're behind.
