probably dumb question, but i assume you have let the dealer know everytime you top off using chips that were in your pocket?

I suspect this would annoy the dealer nearly as much as topping up by constantly buying chips out of the rack.

You really don't. As long as you aren't blatently over the cap, you'll be fine. No non-nit is gonna rag on you for being $5 over the cap.

Yeah...why do you feel the need to tell the dealer you're adding $20 to your stack of $179? Just don't go over the cap. Maybe there is a written rule somewhere that you have to announce if you're adding chips, but I've never ever seen a dealer or floor tell someone they have to do so, and I've seen a lot of people pull a lot of chips outta their pockets or bills outta their wallets and quietly add to their stacks.

It seems kinda obvious but I'd imagine some people might have a problem if you're trying to add to your stack while in a hand. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
