CRTs are heavy, run hotter and bad for your eyes because of the constant flicker. No way in hell is a CRT better nowadays than a flat panel. Not to mention many of the flat panels now have refresh rates around 4-8ms, no contest a flat panel is better. The cost is the only thing going for a CRT.

8ms is nothing to write home about, LCD's are slower, they have ghosting, the color depth isn't as good and they are outperformed by nearly all CRT's on any graphic intensive application such as gaming or high-res editing. However, for 2d applications and saving space, I can see how you'd prefer LCD's.
