Re: 600NL - bottom set facing heat
Even if we knew that there was a 75% chance that villain has AT here and a 25% chance that he has some random two pair, isn't it still a push because of the river outs we have against his straight? I also think villain is more likely to have KQ here than AT.

[ QUOTE ]
yves, I don't think I run great, but I don't really think that has a lot to do with it, the 3/6 is just a very passive game. By far his most likely hand here is AT. [/ QUOTE ] really? i think its kq. not that he never has at or anything. sure he does and probably with decent frequency... but i really doubt its by far his most likely hand. im seomwhere in between you and sensei here. |

Re: 600NL - bottom set facing heat
ok 'by far his most likely hand' was maybe a bit ott, i was just alarmed that sensei didn't even mention it.
a lot of opponents won't even raise kq or worse on the turn here. |

Re: 600NL - bottom set facing heat
I take a more conservative approach here and call followed blocker of about 1/3 pot. I call a raise if river is not a spade.
I do worry quite a bit about T9s in this spot though as the overcall in my mind is generally suited connectors, med pair, or in this case, KQ. I think a shove here loses value with stacks that deep unless you give him Ax of spades. |
