Re: KJs
hm ~ looks like a tough one. I don't know much about sh but I'll try it anyway.
Your read (though it's not strong) suggests he's rather aggressive and therefore might make this flop raise with a couple of hands like: a pair (6 or T), a fd and maybe even with ui overs. He raised and since you just called the raise he might put you on ui overs. Generally I expect him to bet the turn again after his flop raise since he couldn't be raising for a fc. The A hitting could prevent him from betting again since he might expect that the A made your hand (therefore I'd rather bet the turn when he checks to you since the A is a nice bluffing card, though on the other hand he could also be checking with the intention of inducing a bluff ...). The river looks tough I guess your turn check showed him you missed your hand completely and he might now be betting in order to steal the pot. I doubt he'll often bet a weak made hand for value here since he can't expect to be called by a worse hand often. I guess he'd c/c the river with a weak T or even a six. The question is will we win 20% when calling his bet? Seems to be close but I think we should call the river. |

Re: KJs
Absolution (and others):
[ QUOTE ] I would probably call the river as played because this is a decent board to bluff on and I would like the information. [/ QUOTE ] How many of you often take a hand that you are confident is losing to showdown just to get information for further use? I do it semi-often, play 0.50/1.00 and 1.00/2.00, and have often wondered how many other 2+2'ers do it. I like to get as much information as possible into other players notes as to how they play a hand in certain situations, and if the only way to get a showdown is spending a BB or two, I do it. Just curious. |

I guess no information is worth 1BB when playing micro FR - players just don't last long enough in a game for you to take advantage of your knowledge (this knowledge must gain you 1 BB!). I just call for information when I think the decision is close and there's still a chance for me to win (like in the hand above). |
