Well, I got a ton of varied responses, still not convinced either way. I'll think about it some more.
For the curious, UTG+1 had Q6d, and BTN had 35h. I checked the river, and it got checked through. MHIG |

Re: 2nd nuts in a huge pot. River decision?
What I said in my 2nd post and what happened: You don't want to risk this getting checked through.
UTG+1 almost certainly has a flush or a set and he is terrible (50/30). So the chances he has the Ace flush aren't that big. Your biggest concern UTG already has folded, so there is a very good chance you are good here. Every set (and probably also low flushes) will check this through. |

"Every set (and probably also low flushes) will check this through."
I think that this is the main reason you want to bet hands like these. The pot is so big that a ton of hands you beat will feel inclined to call one bet on the end (correctly). Sure, you need to worry about the Ad raising you, but it just seems like there's so much value in a bet, you need to make sure something goes in. Nfinity said he'd consider checkraising, and that's an interesting play, too. You've got a maniac behind you who woke up on the turn, so it's certainly possible he'll bet a worse hand, and you can get an extra bet out of him, and maybe an extra one or two out of button who will be likely to call the bet from the maniac. But with the 4th flush card falling, it reduces the amount of times even the maniac will take a shot at this on the river, especially if he's got a middle flush he just wants to show down, or if he was raising for a free showdown. So, I think that I'd just default to betting this. |

Re: 2nd nuts in a huge pot. River decision?
Turn: 5 (18.5BB, 4 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, UTG+1 raises, Button calls, Hero calls, UTG folds. We counts as 1 right? Hero + UTG+1 + Button = 3 |

Re: 2nd nuts in a huge pot. River decision?
Is it just me, or is this like the world's easiest bet/call? The pot is massive... sometimes someone has the nut flush. Most of the time, you get 2 crying calls from worse hands. Checking makes no sense... you absolutely cannot count on anyone betting this scary board. You can, however, count on them calling getting 26:1.
