Default Re: Who lost 2 million in one night playing the Big Game?

Some things to clarify here:

What Yukon Brad said happened a while ago. Probably at least a month ago. So i'm pretty sure Ivey was still in the states at the time.
The person lost it in The Big Game, and the game was almost certainly in the States. The person seemingly didn't take the flight TO Italy with Brad and Gui.

Didn't Negreanu say he lost over a million in one day (possibly more at the other days), and stopped playing it. Now when he's gone, the game broke up.

Just listening to the latest Brad Booth interview, and he's talking about going on a poker trip to Italy with Guil Alaberti(the owner of Cirque du Soleil and Zumanaty). The host then says that one of the regulars from the Big Game was also supposed to go, but had had a bad session the night before and finished down 2 million. Baseless speculation on who this might have been? Seems like it happened a little while ago.

The host also says that the guy should probably "rene....rename nameless". Subtle clue?

[/ QUOTE ]BTW, it's not Guil Alaberti but Guy Laliberté lol.

The "Bobby Guy" that he was speaking of is Bobby Baldwin. Bobby is a former Main Event WSOP champ and current CEO of MGM/Mirage. He probably has more money than all of the "Big Game" regulars combined.

As for who lost the 2 Million? My guess was going to be Negraneau going with the Canadien connection with Brad Booth.

I'm sure I've read that all the big game regulars have lost $1 million in a single day at some point. That would be a 125 big bet loss in the limit games. Most of them seem more than willing to play 12+ hour sessions. So, it would be unreasonable to think any player could avoid a loss that big if they played the game for years.

True, but it seems the stakes and swings are too high for many ppl participating the game, so many of them will take a break from it from time to time. Negreanu might have lost much more than one million during some period of time. Even Antonius lost more than a million in one day, and he only played it like a month or so (said he his total was positive from the game).

I don't think the 4k-8k runs too often because its too high for people. It's generally 2/4.

If Yukon said it was months ago then that takes that Bobbysumthin out of it. Because he said he beat Ivey out of 2.2 2 nights ago.

To the poster that said Bobby was Bobby Baldwin I really doubt it was. This is if you're referring to my question about who that bobbybadfingers or whatever his name was. That guy said he lived in Mn.

I think it was 2 weeks ago when the featured table at the WSOP had Rene and DN. Norman Chad said Rene said he wasn't playing in the big game anymore because he lost too much money in it. Maybe that was it.

So maybe it was a subtle clue after all.

What is the Jamie Gold Challenge?

[/ QUOTE ]

We had Jamie Gold on the show and he challenged the "talkers" to a heads up 1M cash game. Brad accepted on our show last Sunday, even offering him a choice of three games. Will be interesting to see if Jamie still wants to play.

Tuco.

Somehow I don't think this will ever happen.
