Re: I\'m so confused, 8/16 river line
[ QUOTE ]
he could be on air, could be donking a spade trying to take the pot down. I know (obv) that he doesn't have a better flush than us, I would have expected to hear from a set earlier, and I don't think he can 3bet you without a fullhouse. Sometimes they'll just call you with a fullhouse here (this is live poker right?) [/ QUOTE ] villain is unknown, you can't fold to a 3-bet |

Re: I\'m so confused, 8/16 river line
[ QUOTE ]
His hand range is A4, 44, JT with the jack of spades, AT, baby flush, air. I don't think he could have 66 unless he's a complete idiot. I think it's a lot closer as far as raising that I initially thought. This raise cannot be for value unless he's an idiot since the only hand that could possibly call with is JT and even then he might lay that down. The raise won't fold better hands, worse hands will rarely call, and better hands will sometimes reraise (44 will definitley reraise and A4 will very likely reraise) I think this is a call since I see no value in raising against an unknown. [/ QUOTE ] I doubt that he would raise AJ preflop, so I thought AxJ[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] was a definite possibility due to the action on every street. Also, I never considered folding, I just wanted to throw it in as an option since I suppose in theory it was one of the options available to me at the time. |

Re: I\'m so confused, 8/16 river line
Raise it again. The best flush he can have is a J. He is never getting that far out of line and 3 betting with that hand. I actually think you can fold to a 3 bet unless he is extremely retarded.
[ QUOTE ] I value raise my nuts [/ QUOTE ] I was really hoping it would end with that but then: [ QUOTE ] Fold face up and slap my penis on the table? [/ QUOTE ] This would be a very bad beat for all of the casino. Pun intended. |

Re: I\'m so confused, 8/16 river line
No questions asked, you should raise and call a three bet.
He doesnt have a boat. He thinks you had AK the whole way and now there are four spades there, so he can bluff you out. He is a NL players (loves to bluff) Cheers, Nima |

Re: I\'m so confused, 8/16 river line
Raise and call a 3-bet! Are you guys serious. So when you call that 3-bet the only thing you beat is a bluff. If I was at the table looking on I wouldn't care what the results were. You would have a "clueless" label stamped on your forehead.
I would just call here. The last thing I would be doing is raise/call. |

[/ QUOTE ] That's what I was thinking. I was almost positive that he had AxJs or maybe JsTx. I raised planning to fold to a 3 bet. He thought it over for about 10 seconds before calling with 64o. Oh well. I still like the raise. |
