Default Re: flopped straight, Raise out of no where on river

A counter example. I really expected to see a set.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Hero ($25.15)
SB ($26.60)
BB ($18.15)
UTG ($15.95)
MP ($20.65)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $1.75</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls $0.75.

Flop: ($3.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $4</font>, SB calls $4.

Turn: ($11.75) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($11.75) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $4.75</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $12</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $20.85</font>, Hero calls $7.40 (All-In).

Final Pot: $52

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
SB has Jd Ad (straight, ace high).
Hero has Js 9h (straight, king high).
Outcome: SB wins $52. </font>

Definite Push here, really only one hand you need to be afraid of. Think it is -EV to call over the long haul. You are almost always going to have the best hand here. +Hand is disguised very well by leading at the flop and the turn.
