I bought a 2-pack of brand-new KEM POker jumbo index on e-bay and paid less than $19 including shipping. I agree they are great cards. Bargains on e-bay all the time

The new Kems aren't near as good as the Modianos IMO. Just cracked open a new setup of Kems and about half of the spades had faded symbols in the upper left corner. I've heard multiple people complain of the same problem.

I usually recommend Copag Exports (poker width in Jumbo index) as a great starter set of plastic cards. Great quality and priced right ($15).

With that said, my current favorite cards are NTP Black Jack cards followed very closely by Dal Negro (pokerwidth Freedom's or SuperStar's in Jumbo index) but Dal Negro has had some recent quality control issues but there being corrected.

If you're a bridge card man, the NTP bridge width in jumbo index would be my 1st choice and I favor Kem bridge width cards over the available Copag bridge width cards.

But you can't go wrong with the Copag's for your first set of cards but if you decide you want to drive the Cadilac of cards (LOL), you can find NTP cards at Tridentcards.com

What kind of quality control issues have there been? I just purchased a set up of DN Freedoms. I looked at one and it appears to be okay. I haven't even opened the other deck yet though.

I have a bridge-size Copag set up and the guys in my game LOVE them -- we've been playing with run-of-the-mill (or worse) cardboard decks and now, every game, they want me to bring the 'nice cards'.

Any nice deck is such a huge step up from standard bicycles that you will be amazed.

Also, FWIW, most card rooms deal bridge size cards. I found that I personally prefer them to the poker size. YMMV.

There was a bad batch of Del Negros. My set up is from that batch. The ink rubs off easily. You can find more info here. Most retailers are giving refunds or exchanges, and DN is aware of the problem and taking appropriate action.

Anyone know if Del Negros can be found/shipped to the UK?

I need a replacement set up to replace my worn out copags and for cost to quality these seem the best.

Dal Negro is an Italian manufacturer, so I would think so.

Just search at google.co.uk and you will find some hits.

If it comes to it, there are American distributors that will ship to the UK.
