Re: Chain Restaurant Secret Dishes
In-N-Out has some pretty well-known secret menu items:
3x3 (4x4, 3x2, 2x3, 10x10, etc) is 3 patties and 3 slices of cheese. A 10x10 is 10 patties and 10 slices of cheese. Neopolitan Milkshake: Strawberry/vanilla/chocolate combined Animal Style: Not exactly sure what this is, as I never get it, but it's a special kind of sauce that has grilled onions in it, I believe (others please correct me if I'm wrong). You can also get it on fries. Protein Wrap: Low carb option. The burger is wrapped in lettuce rather than a bun. Grilled Cheese: same as the burgers, but without the patty (lettuce, tomato, etc come on it, but can be omitted if wished) Also, at Jamba Juice: White Gummi Bear Smoothie (or some similar name): tastes amazingly like gummi bears. Edited to add more Jamba Juice flavors, since this thread piqued my curiosity. Jamba Juice also has: Red Gummy Bear, Chocolate Gummy Bear, Blue Gummy Bear?, Pink Starburst, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Raspberry Dreamin', Pineapple Dreamin', Bluetopia, Sourpatch Kid, Now and Later, Apple Pie?, Push Pop, Skittles, Fruity Pebbles, Strawberry Shortcake. A word of caution. I found the additional items by googling it. I've only had the White Gummi Bear Smoothie (which is very good); I can't verify the others. |

I eat out at restaurants almost daily. [/ QUOTE ]Not trying to be rude but serious question: What kind of shape are you in? I just can't imagine staying anywhere near healthy while doing this. |

Re: Chain Restaurant Secret Dishes
The veggie burger at McD is quite tasty. Yes, it is on the menu, so it's not a secret. But since they always have to look for 4 minutes at their register to find the right button and i have to wait 10 minutes to get it (kitchen staff has to look for the recipe first) it seems to be a mystery for all parties involved (patrons and staff).

Re: Chain Restaurant Secret Dishes
never been to macaroni grill but do they really not have mac n cheese on the menu?
Animal style at In N out has mustard fried onto the burger patty, and grilled onions on top. Very delicious. They also have fries "well done." |

Re: Chain Restaurant Secret Dishes
From the Wikipedia link:
"One reason In-N-Out has not expanded far outside Southern California is that their food is never frozen... This commitment to "freshness" has limited the restaurant's expansion to Northern California, Nevada, and Arizona." I always wondered why they hadn't expanded more. Thanks, Optimus... I gotta learn to explore Wikipedia. And I'm going to have to try Animal style today... |
