Re: ($22) Bubble A10s against big stack pusher
[ QUOTE ]
I'm understanding that this was a a poor preflop raise that got me into a sticky mess. However I still believe I ended up making the correct move despite the awful situation. Could you expand on your reasoning for you letting it go given my action and knowing his recent actions? [/ QUOTE ] He just told you...when you push, SB can call with a rather wide range of hands before it hurts you. However once he pushes and now you're the one contemplating a call, he has to be pushing with a very wide range of hands before it begins to be profitable for you. |

Re: ($22) Bubble A10s against big stack pusher
Well, look at it from his point of view. You've raised t600. You've left yourself on t2000 and you're now the short stack on the table, and everyone is pretty equal anyway. I have to think you're doing this with some kind of hand, and likelihood is, you won't fold (people just don't in general after raising, unless there's some real micro stack or whatever). So am I really pushing K5o, Q9o and J8s here to try to get you to lay down? When by losing I knock my own stack down to around 3k and give the big stack over to you. Remember, knowing you're unlikely to fold? Would I not be more likely just to say "fine, have it/mess with the BB/whatever, I'll just continue to steal from the other two or when first in"? Well, that's what I would do anyway. But, I would re-raise steal with more than I would call a push from you with - that much I can tell you for absolutely certain. Just not enough for you to call ATs here by a long way..

Re: ($22) Bubble A10s against big stack pusher
Given that he has to be coming over the top with at least 33% of his hands here:
33% is 22+,A2+,K6o+,K2s+,QTo+,Q8s+,JTs. So, if he's pushing anything in that range, you're not in good shape calling the push. (If it's not obvious, I'd be folding given that range - even though I said I'd call before, not having tools at work makes things harder ...) |

JJ+ because I want to be played back with. Anything else I shove (that I would raise with obviously, this is definitely not an any-two situation, by a long way!!). Maybe, on very odd occasion, AK or TT. But probably just move in with 'em and have done with it. |

He's saying he'd just push with AQ [/ QUOTE ] Correct. C'mon folding AQ would be beyond terrible. |
