Re: ($225) Top two turns into a flush board. Call river?
[ QUOTE ]
I had 5 open. Which is probably why I made a stupid call on the river and saw the K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] The way he played it, though, it was probably going to be K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or nada. Ryan [/ QUOTE ] With only 5 preflop is fine. With 8+ I'd fold. Oh, I should have mentioned to that bet size I would fold the river w/o much thought (I assumed you had) Edit: also don't call the river hoping to chop, it's not worth it. But you can lead the river hoping the 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or a set or something fold |

The way he played it, I definitely should have just check/folded river. That min-bet/call is SO OFTEN a draw from donks.

Id never fold this PF. I like leading flop for 3/4, b/c you can get extra action from AK's, including ones with no heart. Id fold the river. I dont think I ever use block bets in this sit. [/ QUOTE ] And you protect your hand on the flop. Seriously, this check is awful. |

i'd lead the flop. AK will often raise to protect and a lot of guys will go nuts here with the Kh. i'd definitely fold the river. preflop is fine, but i'd probably fold AQo. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: ($225) Top two turns into a flush board. Call river?
i like the check-raise because most of the time someone will make a reasonable 100-150 bet allowing you to safely push. this is just an unfortunate situation where he only bet 20.
also if its checked on the flop, the turn will be easy to play. |
