Thanks for the thoughts guys, though I might have played it wrong, I feel better knowing there is a wide variety of opinions. By the way, I called and board came A,2, rainbow. The guy had trip 9's and I got to watch from the rail. IMO raising me all in with trip nines and no flush draw was a very risky play. If I count right, I had 13 outs and he would have to catch one of his 6 outs if I hit. Thanks again.

Pre-flop: loose call but OK
Flop: Bottom pair and 19 outs to the straight and no flush draw. Only 13 outs if you are truly scared of the flush draw.
Your best choice is to check in an effort to keep the pot small so you can get away from it if your opponent makes his hand. By betting you gave him the opportunity to make it a large pot and put you to a decision for all your chips. If you check and he bets then you still haven't invested much and can fold and still have 16 times the big blind. Or you can call and if you hit one of your many outs you can put the pressure on him and put him to a decision if drawing for his touney life is worth it. Aggression is good but he was the original aggressor you have to respect that.
