Not to brag, but I did pretty well in high school. Granted, I played golf and was in the band, but, here's the secret, I had a girlfriend for quite a while.

If you're in the "average guy" catergory, find a hotish "average girl" date her for some obscene amount of time, then hump until you graduate.

Works every time.

Most "average" girls had older bf's, drug dealer bf's, or refused to date outside their ethnicity/counterculture

I agree that the "average guys" get way more ass in college than they did in High School. You're still giving way too much credit to the people who have a popularity of 1 or 2 (a.k.a. sit in their room all day and play Everquest, never go out to socialize, rarely shower or wash bed sheets, etc.). One of my suitemates Freshman year was this guy. They never got ass in High School and they never get ass in college. Although they'll sit there and whine to you all day about how they're "a nice guy" and "girls only want [censored], blah blah".
