[ QUOTE ]
I agree totally. I think the beauty of being a LAG (when you're good at it) is it's hard for players, especially tight players to call a bet for all their chips without a monster. In this particular case, the SB had AQo and laid it down. His thinking was, the BB made the 3rd raise. He ignored the math and folded based on his read. [/ QUOTE ] You made a very bad play by pushing an easily dominated hand when the SB was obligated to call. The SB made a worse play by folding (AQ!). Now, if the button had raised and the SB had only called, then you have the makings of a squeeze play. If the SB is a well-known winning player on UB, I need to transfer my money over there. |

I don't like this play even though it worked. There are too many if scenarios for this to work in general. Against thinking opponents this should have been an easy call from the small blind esp. with AQ.
From my perspective the biggest idiot was the small blind. He kind of mini reraised for almost half his stack and then folded. He should have pushed and the hand would have been over. Even with his stupid miniraise he was getting too good a price not to call. Bruce |
