ummm, how can betting higher have more EV at blackjack (unless you are counting, which i'm just assuming you can't do at these sites -- I'm assuming they shuffle each hand).

You are right. you can't increase your EV, only your variance, by increasing the size of your bet.

you can, supposedly, hopefully some maths experts will come to explain.

You can increase your Effective EV by betting larger amounts in a fixed wager game with a target WR like cashable blackjack bonuses. Ed Miller has written about it, and anyone who has taken a reasonably high level math course could tell you this is the case. Pascal did plenty of studies on it. |

On InterCasino, go to multihand blackjack. The minimum bet size there is $1 and just play one hand.

Eh, it's not that easy to do mathematically. It can't be expressed algebraically, which is the problem for most of the people who don't get it. The vast majority of the posters on here are used to seeing simple algebra calculations for EV in terms of poker that they forget (or never learned) how limits work.

I'll explain it, it's very simple. If you increase your
variance (i.e. bet larger amounts) chances are you'll bust out before the wagering rqmnts are met. Any time you bust out before the wagering rqmnts are met, you increase your e.v. as long as wagering rqmnts do not carry over. You'll bust out a lot more, but when you don't, you'll be cashing in big. You also decrease the chances of getting banned, because you look to the casino like an idiot gambler. If you don't understand the concept, start at the top and read this again. |

They can read that all they want, but there's no calculation for why it is true. This is why people struggle with the concept.
