Forget the Mirage bets, what about the "gender of the WSOP winner"? male is a steal at -1500, should be more like -5000.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why would you want to risk 1500 to win 100?

It is a lousy bet. No enough reward for the risk.

It's helpful to read the post before asking a question that is already answered.

I did read what he said.

-1500 is still a bad bet even though the chance of losing is remote. You are risking $50.00 to get back $53.33. The is just not enough reward for the risk.

That is a pretty ridiculous statement on a number of levels.

If someone offered me 100:1 that martians would land on earth today I would take it.

IMO there are better things to do with one's money than to risk $50.00 to get back $53.33, for a 6.66% return, with a slight risk of losing all $50 (there are dozens of women who can play the game, and there are women [such as Tiffany Williamson in 2005] who can have lucky runs while playing poorly.)

I don't like the bet at -1500. Not enough reward for the risk.

Back to the 5:4 field bet (risk $50 to get back $112.50). Only these 3 "names" on Bodog's list made Day 3 of WPT Mirage:

David Williams
Alan Goehring
John Juanda

All three have below average stacks.

David Williams started Day 3 with a small stack, but doubled-through to get back into the game.

14 players left as I write this, including Williams and Alan Goehring.

He doubled up at the start of the day and then crippled Gigabet in a mammoth pot. Now 2nd in chips with 14 left.
