As played, I call.

Preflop, raise to 2.5xBB or more or fold. When you have a big stack in the BB, it is too tempting for them to call when you minraise in this situation, given the overwhelming pot odds they are getting and given they likely feel they can push you around postflop. I'm not that crazy at all about a steal here given your stack size, SB's stack size (which is likely to push-resteal) and BB being chip leader.

On the flop as played, shove. Try to avoid situation that allow bigger stacks to put you to a decision. Make villain make the last significant decision.

thanks for your comments guys....a few things I learned from this hand was
1)to make my preflop raise bigger...(I think I half wanted to steal, and half wanted to play the hand, if you know what I mean).
2)I think I also needed to consider that BB was chip leader, and had more leeway to call my raise and play back at me....in other words, I would have had more fold equity against a smaller stack.
3)I still like my bet on the flop, and don't quite get how checking would be better...but thats OK. Most of you thought I should have pushed the flop.
In any event, my call of his all in bet seems to be the consensus choice as well, which I did.

He showed QJ, which was a better hand than I thought he had , but even still, I had 9 outs twice. His hand held up. A good hand to learn from tho...thanks for your input.

Here's what I think,
- you may have thought you needed a straight to win
- he put you on a draw
- he bet to give you the wrong odds to call
- you called
- he wins either way, you made the wrong bet
imho
