fold river. no chance. but a read could help

[/ QUOTE ]

why even call the turn if you're folding the river?

[/ QUOTE ]

I usually agree w/ this, but this hand is a bit different. If on the turn I feel that villian's range has enough 9s or 6s or other PPs, I may decide to call down. In this case though, the river card totally changes our equity against those ranges since a 9 now also kills us.

Now if the river was a 2, and he decided to fold, I agree 100% and would of posted as such.

you simply cant call the turn and fold the river. the pot wont allow it.

either let it go on the turn or just call down.

against an unknown at this level i usually call down and hate it

GRUNCH:

I think draw bluff c/r was your least likely scenario. Now your second least likely scenario, pp has been counterfeited except JJ+ (although idiots might bet again even counterfeited). So I think turn call getting 8:1 was okay, but river is a fold.

Esk, you know this isn't true. What hands do are you ahead of on the river that play the turn the way it was played?

i have no problem with folding the turn.

weight 9x hands in to vil's entire range and consider the equity add that that gives to our turn decision. then measure the same ratio on the river against the increase in the pot size. there is no way we can call turn fold river.

but the pot only increased by one bet... out equity is now much separated from that.

its 2 bets more and we are talking about a final pot of 9BB.

9x hands amount in the overall turn range is never more than 15%, combination based river analysis brings that number even further down....

sry but im just not seeing this line ever being feasible
