I was talking to Shane Spencer on AIM and he said Maddux Should make it in, even though he hasn't been able to play too much baseball of a Champion.

he's taken a back seat to Bonds HR record*, Arod's 500th, and Glavine's 300th

he controls games & pitch counts & hits spots as opposed to overpowering batters w/ 105mph fastballs which is what the media chases these days

Glavine is the same type of pitcher as Maddux, yet you say Maddux took a back seat to him and that people prefer power pitchers.
People don't realize how good Maddux has been in his last couple years from 2002 on he has been similarly good to Mark Beurhle.

He hasn't taken a backseat, those are milestones. When Maddux crosses milestones he gets just as much attention as they do.
