Yeah most of these "Incredibly dangerous situations" has the cameraman right next to him, so I don't feel too bad for Bear.

Also, I'd say Bear has one of the worst jobs in the world. You know he's not making a buttload for this

He's a former SAS soldier and has climbed Mount Everest. You know he's an adrenaline junkie who loves doing that kind of stuff. And guids, f you, it's perfectly acceptable to have a heterosexual man crush on Bear, your crude hairy fireman doesn't even compare.

the one where he put his jacket in the pack, and floated down teh river, to get to near the highway...I forget where exactly he was, it def looked like they put a life jacket on him under his sweatshirt which was lame-o.

this was one of the first couple of shows i believe...the show's producers/insurance co. etc demanded that he have jacket on because they believed it was to risky. Bear ended up winning out over the producers/insurance in terms of being allowed to do things his way for all future shows.

The guy just paraglided over Mt. Everest apparantly.

I have no doubt that it was corporate bs and not bears choice, I just wish that they would have shown it, and not "lied". Im glad though that you cleared it up though, and that it was a one time thing, and I dont have to worry about them faking anything else in future shows.

Anyone see him squeeze the moisture out of elephant [censored] into his mouth? Now that was sick. I'm not sure how much I would need to be paid to do that, but it's a lot.

ya lol...and he could have gotten away with never having to do that since it was something he learned back in the SAS not thru the show w/ their advisors etc...but it was great PR/entertainment in a sense.
