really I don't understand how you can turn them off when sometimes you'll be reading about the intricacies of filing your taxes or something, and then suddenly you'll see imitation's avatar, as just one example:

oh wow keikiwai, i didn't get that hilarious joke of him capitalising and repeating what's in his avatars tons of times. i can't afford to risk missing out on something like that again, i'm gonna turn them on right now.

(as for boobs, yeah, ok they're nice but when you're not looking at them they're pretty irritating just flickering away at the side, some avatars are as annoying as banner ads and some are quite offputting to look at. that some look good isn't reason enough to turn them on, i mean if i wanna see boobs, i'm a long way from having to stoop to the level of looking at imitation's avatar.)

I think its somewhat odd that you dont look at avatars, yet have one yourself.

Not saying Id like to have your avatar gone, since its pretty recognizable. Im just saying.

Well, I used to have them on, I understand their appeal in recognising posters so I thought I might as well leave it on so others can use it. I know I've been wasting too much time recently as I can recognise every poster I care to read by the first letter of their name + length (occasionally combined with title).
