I don't disagree with you...but I also don't agree this is much in the way of a solution to the problem. Nor do I know of a good one.

Not sure what you mean by this. If he staggers his tables then he can pretty much always be playing the same amount of tables. Granted he won't be at all of the tables but again this just slightly limits his abililty to play all tables of one limit. If he chooses to play other limits then he can still play as many tables as he wants and thats true even if you make the time limit 5 hours.

The funny thing is that posts like this actually encourage ratholing. HS players biotching about it draws attention to how it must be +EV for opponents to play this way.

Looks like all our biotching and complaining might actually result in the extinction of ratholers.

Can't say I agree with you on this. The fact of the matter is there is no inherent advantage or disadvantage to ratholing. Every hand is an independant event. It turns out that winnning money, leaving the table soon afterwards and then returning with less money angers some people, but this is a purely irrational response bred from human emotion. If you play better than someone then you will beat them whether they rathole or not.

anyone know how much money a "good" ratholer can make? I assume that they can play a lot of tables because they never have to think past preflop.
