Re: Flopping the nuts, deep stacks NL 1000 6max
raise all day. play the nuts fast like a champ when you have two people betting and raising into the flop. this is no spot to either slowplay or look for a safe turn.
also, 180 BB isn't deep. |

If you push, it might look like a big draw.

I push, looks like one of them has a big hand or a huge draw. Also it's party man, you never know what kind of moron hand will call you.

I made it 600. BB folds. Villian pushes all in, I call. Board pairs, I start to cry, and then he shows KK. Donkey.

Donkey who everyone in this forum seems to love. I hate how both of you played it.

Ugh. Bit of a lame situation. [/ QUOTE ] With respect, Yeti, I don't see how this is in any way a lame situation. Hero has the nuts in a three-way pot with 415 in the middle. True, he can't play without telegraphing his hand, but I have a hard time calling that "lame." I think I push here. |

[ QUOTE ]
Pardon the hijack, but if you were the villain and had AK of diamonds here would you raise the flop bet or just call? [/ QUOTE ] I agree that it smells more like a semi-bluff reraise than a set. But given that you are only a 7-4 favorite vs two big diamonds and the BB is yet to respond, I think pushing is the better play. In short, you are too vulnerable to a draws to take off a card and call. You want your money in with the best hand...you have it now, so put it in and enjoy the show.
