miles I'd be really interested in hearing about your flop play

do you c/c frequently? I find that I am usually raising or folding, and I don't like it because it makes my c/c lines very trasparent

also I'm sure I miss value from people who would fire a lot of second/third barrels

OP seems to be too tight in position 3
so am I though, that's why I like playing 2-5 handed

[/ QUOTE ]

position 3 is UTG in 6max, playing more than 12% seems excessive.

unless you raise 44, and QTo, and KJo utg, then nevermind

12% seems about right

Also, why not post your screenname? Maybe some regs will have some insight into your game that the stats don't reflect.

Yeah, I don't give a F* anymore, and it's about time I changed it anyway:

i feel your pain OP.

I went on a 650BB downswing spanning over 40K hands.

It was really more like 3; 200BB downswings spaced out, but it happened, and it sucked.

This was at 3-6 and 5-10

All I can tell you is keep grinding it out.

Over the next 25K hands at 5-10 and 10-20, I won 800BB

THe thing I love about AP is, even with that 650BB downswing over 2-3 months, I still won money every month.

ty rb and bonii

[/ QUOTE ]

I have a positive outlook everytime I sit down for a session, but after 400,000 hands of "just grinding it out" and pretty much losing overall, there's something wrong.

Sure, I've had 40,000 hand 2.2 BB/100 stretches, but overall, the trend is downhill (like I said in the OP, over 1,500 BBs for sure by now).

And yes, thank Christ for RB and bonii, but that doesn't and never will make me feel better as a player. It would be nice to actually be good.

I'll reply to others later... I'm not at home right now.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

Ps. Before I forget, Miles has said in the past that I have a lot of -$1,000 or more days (probably every 20,000 hands or so, I haven't really checked, but they are pretty common for me)... Perhaps there's something behind that? Perhaps not, I dunno.

All I remember is that you were one of the players that I actively avoided so you were probably doing something right.

I would think that tilt plays a major role in the -$1k days. I know on the days that I've lost that much playing 3/6 and 5/10 that I wasn't in the right frame of mind. I didn't notice it at the time, but upon looking back I could see it. You just need to take a break after about a 50 bet downswing. I haven't been able to force myself to do this, but it would help me if I did.

My stats for 5/10 and 10/20 Stars since May if your interested. Note SB is different structure and my games are probabily more loose/agressive... I dont notice a HUGE difference anywhere other than VPIP of SB. But your structure should change that...

http://bp1.blogger.com/_cmmBT5wxmN0/...itionstats.jpg

EDITed out comment about blinds since blind structure effets SB winrate...
Just a hunch but I think your getting raped in your SB & to a lesser extent in your BB.

My Diff w/o blind in my SB covers twice the amount that ive lost in total in the SB. yours is close to the same.

I dont know if this is just structure related?? Myles has a similar ratio... MY VPIP is only 10% lower than yours in the SB though...

@ OP

Dunno if it helps but I am an all time winner at 5/10 to 20/40 on all stakes on all sites at AP, FT, UB and party. But i am still an all time looser at AP's 3/6 games.

Its very few players who are capable of beating those games because they are tough and the rake is high. But since you get a [censored] of rakeback, bonii, vip points its still profitable.

Nothing has made my life better than quiting the 3/6 game at AP moving up to games with less rake.

Oh, and how the hell do you manage to drop $1k at 3/6 in one day? Dude stop tilting!
