LA is an expensive place to live, Vegas is not so much but there is no point in living there under 21.

Hi Roman,

My advice is to stay in school. You are making a mistake by limiting your future possibilities.

Unfortunately, an 18-year-old does not have the life experience to make this kind of decision; How do the people who care about you the most weigh in on this decision? Where are your parents?

Poker is a fairly easy game, if you want to do something difficult, get out there and chase some tail.

Having said this, Southern CA is the place you are looking for. The min age is 21, but the indian casinos will accept some sketchy IDs. I recently went to tournament with a 19-year-old 2+2er (he 8 tables the 200, and still finds time for school). It wasn't even a question, and he doesn't look over 18. You will need a solid ID and may need to change your appearance and behaviour, but I don't think its hard to pass for 21.

Most of the structures for low-limit live games are poor, and the rake on cash games is large. I imagine it will be less EV+ than playing online, but necessary experience.

Of course Southern CA has lots of distractions.

GL to you.

do they have soft high stakes games there?

Turning stone is terrible as a card room and they dont have higher stakes games. I am looking for 5/10 NL and 500$ sngs/mtts at the lowest.

Roman, come to LA! play at commerce/bike/HP.

but honestly, keep playing online, and that you can do anywhere, and LA is the place to be to improve your game short of vegas

and i didn't know what 3.3 meant, but if it's a compliment, then thx:-D

You could always move to Indianapolis and hustle cards and pool in our riverboats and illegal underground card rooms. Honestly, there is a 4000 sq ft card room on about every corner here in this town. If you wanna go legal 18, Just two hours away and the Caesars Indiana spreads just about every game you could imagine in their poker room. We've also got poker on Lake Michigan near chicago, not to mention plenty of horsetracks to gamble on. The only problem with Indiana is that the women are generally bland compared to Vegas and there isn't as much to do here. But the cost of living is quite good. For 225K you can get a sweet crib near a lake over here.

MN... canterbury park is located in a cheap and safe suburb of Minneapolis. Great if you want to play limit hold'em, if you are looking for high quality tounries, maybe not the best idea though
