Until I have my first child, this will probably rank number one for me:

After four years as an HS assistant basketball coach, I took a job at a perennial doormat as the head coach. In 38 years before I got there, they had no winning seasons (just 9 wins in their best season), no playoff wins, and a program win percentage of under .200.

In my second year, we won 9 games, squeaked into the district playoffs as a 16-seed, and hung with the defending state champs (margin in single digits in the fourth quarter) before they pulled away at the end.

In my third year, we went 14-12. We won our first-round playoff game, which was my ultimate goal from day one. We went 11-3 in games decided by five points or less, which I am very proud of.
