Re: Best Lead Singer Of All Time
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I love that freddy is winning that retarded poll just cuz he's gay. BBV4L: 20% less homophobic than the rest of 2+2 [/ QUOTE ] He's also Iranian. You know we love our Iranians. [/ QUOTE ] He was Indian. From the wiki : Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara on the African island of Zanzibar, at the time a British colony, now part of Tanzania. His parents, Bomi Bulsara and Jer Bulsara were Parsis from the Indian province of Gujarat. |

Re: Best Lead Singer Of All Time
Chris Robinson is definitely great. Ive always been a Crowes fan, but never appreciated how great his voice is until lately.

Re: Best Lead Singer Of All Time
you left out 2 of the best:
Ian Gillan of Deep Purple -- ZOMG Go listen to "Made in Japan"!! best Rock Screamer EVER!! ( He was also Jesus Christ in the movie Jesus Christ Superstar ) Paul McCartney !! How could you miss him ? his vocals on "Helter Skelter", "Why don't we do it in the road?", are awesome. but given the list, I voted for Freddie Mercury. All in all, he was crazy good. |

Re: Best Lead Singer Of All Time
OKAY new poll, i went through the thread and i think i have a better sense of what deserves to be on the list. im not putting every name mentioned because frankly some of the mentioned names suck/are good but not the best/dont fit the question. Roger Waters and Jerry Garcia are probably my favorite vocalists of all time, but this thread was aimed at people whose main role in the band was/is as a vocalist. im adding some singers, you're all gonna flame this again but this is a more concise and acceptable list.
