im curious about this phrase. When was its heyday? Did it ever have a heyday? Who popularized it? etc, etc. I will try google but I doubt "scoring strange" will yield the kinds of hits I'd be interested in.

My wife to me a minute ago:

"Do you want me to polish your knob while I'm upstairs?"


Our dog chewed on the knobs of our nightstands and she was staining them to hide the damage. It took her a moment to process what she said.

Do a google search for "punctuation errors."

"To score, strangely enough" - best
"To score. Strange" - an improvement
"To score, strange" - a slight improvement but still awkward.

(My levelling radar is going off.)

I suggested there had been an offer and an acceptance. She gave me 'the look' that said she was busy and the Red Sox were on.
