I am sure HL has figured out that OP is aggressive. The question is whether he is thinking "he raises every time, so he probably doesn't have much and is likely to fold to my reraise" or "this guy is a maniac. If I reraise, he probably pushes with whatever he has, so I will only reraise big hands."

Is position an advantage with stacks twice the pot? What if HL pushes the flop?

There have been some comments in this thread so far along the lines of: "those who don't want to call are afraid of playing post - flop poker; we will have position" etc.

I am just a little baffled tbh. If HL leads at the pot on the flop for 4 - 5k just how much FE do people think we have with a shove back at him? I say we will be getting hero - called an awful lot.

To me, the stacks are shallow enough that calling is not an option. I would fold - as I think AT is doing very bad against his range in this spot. And I think he can justify a call with 80 - 90% of that range. The other camp saying we should jam are, in my mind, underestimating how light he might call. Yes, he probably doesn't have AA so we should never be drawing dead - but why force this spot?

So what if he has a bigger stack then you after this hand!! There should be value elsewhere on the table and, while it sucks having a very competent player to your left with more chips - most of the chips you are going to win will be coming from elsewhere.

I think there is a lot of people approaching this with the mentallity that we must win this hand at all costs - and I am really struggling to understand why that is. We haven't invested much; it is the first time he has come back at us. Let's fold and play on.

I couldn't pull the trigger and folded.

Sorry to disappoint those who expected something more dramatic.
