I don't agree that it's not newsworthy now, but I do agree that they will blanket the airwaves with it for long after it's newsworthy, and use it as an excuse to avoid doing real news and paying real reporters to go do real reporting. I don't think the prolonged saturation will be worthwhile.

I completely agree with this, and I think most do. What people don't like Lebowski is that they haven't even finished counting the bodies and you are yawning and saying "so what? people die. get over it". There are lots of 2+2ers that have family and friends, and they themselves go to VT, and this IS news.

Everyone agrees that there will be a complete media saturation of "survivor's stories", replaying the cell phone video, made for tv movies, etc. that do nothing. If they refocused the efforts on that BS towards maybe figuring out why people do this and what can be done to prevent it, maybe it would do some good.
