OAK should trade #1 to AZ for #5 . cards draft THOMAS raiders draft RUSSELL [/ QUOTE ]I very much doubt he lasts that long after the combine, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Russell go #1 overall, and AD doens't like QBs early. |

OAK should trade #1 to AZ for #5 . cards draft THOMAS raiders draft RUSSELL [/ QUOTE ] I can't see the Cards trading up for Thomas. Yes he would be a huge addition to their team, but they really have a bunch of holes that need to be filled and can't afford to trade picks away. They would probably have to do something stupid like trade this year and next years number 1 picks to trade up from 5 to 1. Thomas might be the best OL pick in the draft, but it seems to me that this year will be a good OL draft. |

I thin khe's pretty good but he's already 28 (has like 3 or four more good years) while Quinn or Russell has a ton of good years left. [/ QUOTE ] Jordan wasn't a starter until last year, so he'll age better than other RBs. And to say that Quinn an Russel have a ton of good years left is ridiculous. Its very conceivable that neither guy has *any* good years in them at all. And I don't don't understand the comparison between the incumbent RB and those two QBs. Drafting either of them wouldn't preclude Oakland from keeping Jordan. |

[ QUOTE ] Last year he wanted Vince Young. [/ QUOTE ]care to back this up in any way? [ QUOTE ] W/ high draft picks Al goes after impact athletes, not O-linemen. [/ QUOTE ] this simply isn't true. [/ QUOTE ] That's what alot of ESPN analysts were saying before the draft last year. Sure, noone knows what Al is thinking for sure. Just as much as you know Al won't draft a QB w/ his first pick. I really think Raiders are going QB this year. And I still think they can trade down to get Russel. I don't see where you guys are putting him #1 all of a sudden. He wasn't even projected in the top 10 picks before last nights game. And theres not a snowballs chance in hell Raiders pick Joe Thomas. And yes, Al prefers to go after great athletes before his most pressing needs. |

Why do people keep thinking the Raiders will take anything but Quinn/Russel/Smith or Thomas?

25. New Orleans Saints: Amobi Okoye, DT Louisville. The Saints are painfully weak against the run and Okoye may be the best run stopper in the draft. [/ QUOTE ] The Saints are painfully weak against the outside run. They're one of the best teams in the league at stopping runs up the middle. They need LB and secondary help, not D-Line help. |

Re: ** The OFFICIAL NFL Mock Draft Thread **
Also, isn't anyone else worried about how a 20 year old will do in the NFL?
