$50NL: my first post . . .
My first SSNL post. Be kind. Moved over to cash after Party changed its SNG structure.
My reraise was stupidly small, but the table had been really tight preflop and I wanted to ensure at least one caller. Didn't expect to see the flop four-handed. Flop was really problematic. A lot of the hands that called me preflop would two pair here (a set was also very possible though I'd imagine KK or QQ may have three-bet my weakish reraise). 1.) given that it was the short stack who pushed (for about the size of the pot), my straight draw/board pairing draw, and the chance I'm against a naked pair or a pair + OESD, is my call here okay? 2.) if someone just flat called in front of me, what's your action then? easy fold? Re: $50NL: my first post . . .
a. Dont worry about action. You will get it if they have a hand. A real re-raise is important here to build a pot and get it HU or 3 way at most.
Onto the hand, fold here. This is one of the worst possible flops for you. |

Re: $50NL: my first post . . .
lol you cash players ... this requires so much more discipline than SNGs ...
i thought it was a bad call at the time, but i just couldn't let the aces go and it ended up working out. just didn't want to get results-oriented. thanks for the help. |

SnG's are formulaic, nonsensical poker. If you dont like thinking, try limit.

Re: $50NL: my first post . . .
I like playing poker while doing homework, so SNGs were perfect for that. I will say, I miss the "pushbot" stages of SNGs when you're playing pretty much every other hand all-in. Sometimes I feel like bouncing off the walls single-tabling NL ring ...

Re: $50NL: my first post . . .
I'm surprised most people are advocating fold. Pair + OESD, two-pair, set and TPTK all might make this play. You have outs against the set and two pair, and you're ahead of the other two.
I'd call expecting to behind 2/3 of the time at worst. |

[/ QUOTE ] There are a lot of players moving to NL cash since the structure change. FWIW, your pushbot knowledge will be really useful in the current state of the game where you get sooooooooo many players sitting in super short stacked. |
