I guess limp re-raising you might trap some AQ/AJs hands and have em dominated that would have folded to a push which is good. But by not pushing you might get some small pairs to play against you that would have otherwise folded, which you would prefer.

I'd openpush here though.

Small stack, past the bubble, no jump in $ unless you make it far so Call.

Here are the results. I thought I was drawing pretty much dead against kings. However, actually although kings were dead and aces close to dead, spades were really live, so I had a 14% win chance 4-way. Since this was close to the worse case, it seems like this a very easy call.
