we are hardly invested in the pot. of course we have FE. if we know we arent playing it for 4 more dollars its for 9 more. if i make a mistake and improperly raise i am not going to making a crying overpush when i do not know where i am at in the hand esp when not geting the proper odds to do so. please comment back BW

but yeah we are ahead of many holdings by a shorty but what hand will he actually have that hes 3 betting with on a short stack. he obviously is strong

yes its the equity we get from making a bet and giving someone the chance to fold. maybe i shouldnt be using FE in the context of our own hand. but i mean it, in our hand, as the money we save by not investing more into the pot. is there another name that we can use for this

I think we are ahead of most of shortie's range. Also, the other guy is likely just padding the pot and offsetting the times when you're behind to AA/KK.

So, I think the money we make from putting shortie all in is > than the money we save by folding.

i do like this but
1. just because hes a shorty doesnt mean he 3 betting with a hand were ahead of and a qq 4bet im just not a fan of.
2. if hero had made a proper raise with the hand then i have no problem with a push to his raise or calling an all in. i just think we are too uninvested in the pot to make this push. IMO

thanks, I guess I did a good fold then, btw, what odds must I get on my money to justify that call? also I wonder if you still recommend raising 4xBB + 1 for each limper if I had a good but not great hand, like AQ AJ but I wanted to punish the min-raiser?

[/ QUOTE ]

I make 4xBB my standard raise. So In the right conditions
yes, I would raise hands like AQ KQ AJ and somtimes AT KJ QJ. However it's important to note that while this is acceptable at 6-max tables, (which are the type I play and would make these moves) it is not acceptable at a full ring unless the action is right.
