Default Myrtle Beach Golf

Hello,

I am heading to Myrtle Beach in 2 weeks to golf and hang out at the beach.

Can anyone recommend some golf courses to play?
Important aspects are value, scenery, least crowded. We would alo avoid courses with a lot carry the water type shots, those are really tough on my wife's game.

Also looking for opinions on the best way to book tee times if there is a cheaper way.

Some courses I am considering are:

Wild Wing- Woodstock
Barefoot- Davis Love III
Pawley's Plantation

Feedback please.

Peace,

KennyBanya

I played at Barefoot. It is a tough course. Stay out of the rough at all costs as it is thicker than an elephant's dong. Also watch out for alligators.....

I played at another one a few years back (I think it was called Blackstone) which was really nice. Lots of shade (you'll need it) and wide fairways.

Pawley's Island/Litchfield is a community about 20-30 minutes from Myrtle Beach. There are many good golf courses in that community, and they are often less crowded than those in Myrtle Beach.

I'm a horrible golfer but I've been to Myrtle every year since I can remember (I'm 20). Please avoid Eagle's Nest, it sucks more than I can describe here. I don't really remember names of any great courses, but definitly avoid Eagle's Nest at all cost. Possum Trot is alright too, I usually play it every year.

eBay Green Fees

This may help. Also might check the flyer mags at all the restaurants and hotels when you get there.

I'll be in M.B. Apr.11th- 15th, too.
Looking forward to it.

Would be interested in restaurant recommendations.
I remember having good prime rib at a place I think was called 'the old pro's shop' or something. But that was about 10 yrs ago....
