Henry Blodgett, former merill analyst, has a blog and he suggests google and Goldmann Sachs would be vulnerable to shareholder lawsuits if they had a bad quarter. So, that could tell you something. Google management is a bit arrogant, in my humble opinion, so anything is possible, though.

I regret any percieved pomposity. That is truly not at all intended.

I guess what I am saying is: the Google situation has all the earmarks of a very bad ending in the making for small investors. There are just too many odd, somewhat telling factors at play here.

Not the least of which is the documented absolutely massive dumping of this stock on the market by insiders, just before some very key negative news items. The issuance of new stock just days before an S&P inclusion, itself announced just one week before the inclusion date, also smells very much like fish.

If the sequence, timing and content of these GOOG events do not concern you or make you skeptical, and GOOG looks really good to you, that's fine. I have a differing view at this time, based on observation of those same events. We have differing opinions about what these events mean to GOOG longs. That's what makes a market.

It's really not constructive for you or I to take the counsel of another when placing stock market bets. We must keep our own counsel if we are to be successful. In light of that, I'm already out of line in terms of the stating of my own highly detailed opinions about GOOG here. It is perhaps a true disservice to others, who need to do their own DD and reach their own conclusions if they are to be successful in investing or speculation.

What matters in the end is how it all plays out for those who interpret events and take GOOG positions long and short, here and now.

I regret any misunderstandings.
